Route A Canle do Ruca
Circular: YES
Distance: 3.22
Technical difficulty: Easy
We will leave the village of Rubillós in an easterly direction until you reach a small tributary of the Arnoia River. Then we will ascend a steep path that enters a forest that will take us to the beginning of the Ruca canal, where the ruins of the gate and the turbine house are located. We will continue along the canal and, before entering the tunnel, we will pass by the ruins of the Durán mill, which once produced flour for the neighbors of the surrounding villages, as well as the mill of the Moors, whose ruins find a little bit higher.
Following the channel, we will reach gate 1, where the water from the dam that would feed the canal would be collected and never built. In the return, by the same way, we will ascend by a path to a lookout that will allow us to contemplate the magnitude of the channel and the splendid leafy forest of the Arnoia river. We will descend from the viewpoint to the canal, and continue along the river to the Rubillós bridge to return to the starting point.
