San Paio Church
The construction of the church of San Paio was carried out in 1743, according to the inscription on the frontispiece “THIS WORK WAS DONE BY ABBOT DON ANTONIO ARES E MOURONTE IN 1743”. The façade concentrates the decoration in the central axis, by means of a cover with earrings, a niche decorated with eggs containing the stone image of San Paio and an oculus. A belfry of peralted arches crowned by a pediment completes the set.
Inside, the main altarpiece stands out, with two bodies and three streets organized by Solomonic columns. The tabernacle reaches great monumentality, the flat and golden carving covers the entire surface.
