“Mámoas de Salas”
By “mámoas” is meant the archaeological site formed by a mound of earth in the shape of a small hill similar to a breast, which is the word origin of the name. It often contains in its central part a megalithic structure formed by several vertical stones (called orthostats, esteos or tires) resting on each other, and on which rests a large horizontal slab. This stone structure is known by the name of dolmen (in Breton “stone table”).
